Fotios Pasiouras is Professor at the School of Production Engineering and Management and a Co-Director of Research at the Financial Engineering Laboratory. He has held faculty positions at various U.K. universities and he has been a Visiting Research Fellow/Scholar at European and U.S. universities. Additionally, he has served as Co-Coordinator of the EURO Working Group on Efficiency & Productivity Analysis (European Operational Research Society), and Co-Director of the Centre for Money, Banking and Institutions (University of Surrey). Currently, he is Secretary of the Executive Board of the Financial Engineering and Banking Society, one of the Editors-in-Chief of the International Journal of Banking, Accounting and Finance, Subject Editor of the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, and Subject Editor of the Emerging Markets Review (Journal). His biography has appeared in the “Marquis Who’s Who in the World”, while his research has received awards from the University of Bath School of Management (2008), Coventry University (2005), and Emerald Publishing (2008, 2009). His name has appeared in various IDEAS/RePEc lists like “Top Young Economists”, “Top 10% authors in the field of Banking”, “Top 12.5% authors in European Union”. His research focuses on risk, performance, corporate governance and regulations in the banking and insurance industries. It has appeared in more than sixty papers published in well-known international journals including: Management Science; Journal of Money, Credit & Banking; Journal of Banking & Finance; Journal of Financial Stability; Journal of Financial Services Research; European Journal of Operational Research, etc.
